Buy Jeans becomes an IMRG Approved Merchant

  • 8th September 2005
  • Buy Jeans is delighted to announce that it has been approved by the Interactive Media & Retail Group (IMRG) and become an ‘Internet Shopping Is Safe’ (ISIS) merchant.

Luke Conod Managing Director said, “ISIS is a keystone in the bridge of trust between shops and shoppers. ISIS-accredited merchants now account for approximately two thirds of all UK online shopping.”

Consumers can shop online with confidence wherever they see the ISIS logo because it certifies that the merchant has:

    1. Registered with the ISIS programme and undertaken to trade in a manner that is LEGAL, DECENT, HONEST, TRUTHFUL and FAIR.

    2. Had its web site and service reviewed and monitored by IMRG.

    3. Had its Business, VAT and Data Protection registrations checked by IMRG.

To verify the merchant’s ISIS certification, simply click on the ISIS logo. A new ‘ISIS verification’ page will open up confirming that specific merchant’s certification.

UK E-commerce Minister Douglas Alexander said, “This campaign shows what retailers can do to get the safe shopping message out to the public. Industry initiatives like this can enhance consumer confidence in e-commerce and are very much to be welcomed.”

The UK Government’s E-Envoy Andrew Pinder said, “Educating consumers about how they can shop online with confidence and safety is a vital part of the Government’s objective of making the UK the best place in the world for e-commerce. Government, industry, and consumers must all take a part in this process, and therefore we are happy to support IMRG’s campaign.”

Luke continued to say, “Buy Jeans was one of the UKs first online Jeans retailers and we are proud to be a member of IMRG. We have always traded in a legal, decent, honest and fair manner and our accreditation to the IMRG standards confirms that.”
