A brand new fashion store which opened its doors for the first time eight weeks ago has just celebrated its opening with an official evening launch party.
Over 200 invited guests flocked to the FIT store in Hereford City centre's High Town where they were entertained by local youngsters who put on an impressive skateboard and rollerblade demonstration in the street outside the store.
"We couldn't believe the fantastic turnout" said Luke Conod, Managing Director of FIT, the first independent retailer to open in the heart of Hereford for 50 years. "We very much appreciate the valued support of our customers, our colleagues and fellow local business associates."
With an eclectic mix of high fashion, designer pieces and A-list celebrity inspired outfits, FIT is aimed primarily at fashion forward 16-34 year olds.
"FIT aims to deliver the latest high street trends with a range suiting all tastes and budgets."
"We will continue to expand our brand portfolio and currently stock much sought after brands including Superdry, Bench, Levis, Peter Werth, Lipsy, Lee Jeans, Gio-Goi, Boxfresh, DrunknMunky, Duck and Cover and Pepe. We'll be constantly adding more big name brands."
Luke and his team have been planning the new store and working behind the scenes on the project for over a year. Everything, every step of the way, has been proposed and agreed by the FIT team – from the name of the store to the colour and design of the wallpaper in the changing rooms.
"With its contemporary design and live DJ's the new FIT fashion store in High Town makes an inviting and exciting shopping destination." continued Luke. "We are absolutely delighted by the response from our customers during our first couple of months."
