An independent Hereford fashion retailer is on the move – but is sticking with the city centre.

FIT – currently based in High Town – was set to shut up shop last July with the intention of focusing on its online store.

But last autumn the Cookmate Kitchen Shop on Widemarsh Street announced it was closing and since then, FIT owner Luke Conod has been working with Herefordshire Council to get the “right deal”.

He said that while High Town is not the right thing for the company going forward, it is “delighted” to be getting a new home in the city.

The old FIT store closed on March 7th while the new one is expected to open on March 28th.

    Face of FIT 2014

We at FIT are delighted to announce that we are re-launching a brand new FACE OF FIT competition this year to find a male model who will front this years autumn/winter campaign! This will coincide perfectly with the launch of our brand new store in Widemarsh Street.

As we are only looking for a male model for our autumn/winter campaign we’ve teamed up with Henryka Amber and Silver Jewellery who will be running their own competition alongside ours to find the perfect female to model their beautiful jewellery pieces.

Wendy Lewis of FIT says “High street retail has always been at the heart of our business and the opening of the new FIT store on Widemarsh Street will be a very exciting time for us. It’s also the perfect opportunity to re-launch the Face of FIT competition and we look forward to working with Henryka in the search for Hereford’s top models!”

The competition will be launched in the April edition of the Herefordshire Society Magazine and also announced online in April at www.herefordtimes.com.

Keep your eyes peeled on our Face of FIT, Facebook and Twitter pages for more information!
