  • One of Britain’s best known schoolwear brands, Trutex, has joined forces with Hereford based schoolwear specialist, School Uniform Shop, for its retail debut in Ross on Wye, at Ross Labels Factory Outlet. The new department is set to officially open on Thursday 2nd February 2006, with around 30 local schools invited to attend the in-store launch from 5:00pm.

The new Trutex range is located on Ross Labels’ upper ground floor – adjacent to the shoes, and bags & luggage departments – and will offer top-to-toe, quality school clothing for boys and girls aged three to 16 years. The easy-to-wear, durable collection of schoowlear ranges from shirts to skirts, trousers to blouses, knitwear and sportswear will all be available in a range of sizes to suit the growing needs of today’s school children. Prices start from only £4.99 for polo shirts, and £7.99 for sweatshirts, both embroidered with school logos. Teflon coated blazers start from £19.99, with easy care non iron trousers and skirts from £8.99.

Commenting on the opening at Ross Labels, Clare Rix, Trutex marketing director, said: “These are incredibly exciting times for the company. School Uniform Shop has an enviable reputation as the leading schoolwear specialist in the area, and Ross Labels is recognised as the area’s largest, and one of the UK’s leading Factory Outlets, together creating the perfect platform to showcase the Trutex range. We are delighted to be associated with both businesses and will continue to support them in their efforts to provide a professional service for schools at the exceptional price points, that Ross Labels has built its business and reputation on.”

Luke Conod, managing director of School Uniform Shop, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be unveiling our first partnership with Trutex in Ross Labels, the region’s busiest and largest factory outlet. This is a great addition to our portfolio of stores in Herefordshire and one we are confident will be well received by our customers.”

Ross Labels’ retail director, Chris Rose, added, “We’re delighted to welcome the Trutex brand to Ross Labels. We already enjoy a very good relationship with our local schools, and this new in-store facility underpins that support.”
